Snow blankets the area, melts, falls, and fills our world with white.
Sometimes nature comes in forceful reminders that it is more powerful than we who observe it.
Seventeen years on a shelf,
this blue bear
Knock Knock.

I sighed at the first four words:
dark
ghosts
on spring’s
still dormant tree,
