Prompt Week: Kitchen —- Today: Tiles

I illustrated these to practice with Lisa Bardot’s Basic Brush set following her “Moth” tutorial in her brush set user guide.

The background layer was created following the repeat pattern process in Lisa’s Repeat Pattern tutorial.  I just tapped the coarse shader all over the canvas in a medium grey, and then followed her process to create the pattern. I did have to move things up and down, left and right, two different times each to get the whole pattern filled in. Pretty cool process though. The texture layer in the moth tile pattern is set to color burn over a filled yellow layer.

You can also see how I created the tile line shadows– Layer 72. It’s also made with the repeat pattern process so the lines would correctly line up in the pattern.

The palette is one I created to match my eyeglasses– lol. In case I like the pattern and want it on Red Bubble.

So I added the tile pattern to a cozy cottage.
