Day 379 MarchDoodle Waves

My CLmooc friends doodle everyday. Today I chose “waves” as a prompt from DoodleADay ElloLovey. See all the entries here: DoodleADayMarch. Also, some of us are also participating in the “#sketchdesignrepeat #3x3designchallenge” sketch design challenge— and that’s the floral part of this design.

I’ve also create a pattern for the same motifs and need to create more for the design challenge. They are not very good, but I’m enjoying the struggle. I need to review my previous work— I’ve some good starts that I need to continue.

My next patterns will include fewer flowers and another type of background with the same florals here to create a group of designs.

I so struggle with color— my eyes just don’t see the matching, even when I choose a palette that others have used. Or perhaps I should just stick to the muted fall colors I love.

Anyway— what patterns do you create? How do you choose your colors?
