Day 375 Optics
Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem.
Today, as I walked down a little hill, I noticed a round face far away ahead looking at me, its eyes shining brightly in the sun. Was it a garden ornament? a marker? As I grew closer, it still was not apparent what it was, but clearly its center was metal. Finally, I could see it was the wheel of a an upside down wheel barrel. Funny, how your eyes can fool you…

Far away, a face—
those shining eyes and round face:
up close: only a wheel.
