Day 148 Straw Hat 2

Saturday’s challenge for Affinity Designer. The straw hat texture is a brush stroke, carefully curved around the brim of the hat; a slight shadow of solid color is a shape contoured between the hair and the hat.

Travel is created by the map. The map consists of three blue and one brown shape, each with a public domain map clipped to it. Then I added a transparency to each map to allow the color to show through to create the effect of creases in the map. I even draped the final shape over the edge of the table. Ha. I’m pretty pleased with it.
