Day 11 Winter Challenge Wreath
On our doors, we welcome friends and strangers out of the cold and into our homes with various wreaths– many kinds, from holly and pine to coat hangers and ornaments. Whichever we create, the wreaths mean welcome. And, according to folklore, what we choose can also offer protection.
Holly is one such plant; because it is green throughout the year, it offers hope and protection.
Wreaths have long history, as ornaments for doors, candles, heads. See here.
What is your wreath for this winter season?
One Technique:
Combine art elements to create other pieces.
For this wreath I had saved pngs of previous elements:
I inserted each of those pngs, then duplicated each three times to shrink and arrange into a wreath. Select parts of each png as needed to create the effect.
My next step is to add a background or quote to the wreath.
What would you add to this wreath?
