Legs
In the green of spring
Ringing the yard all around
Tiny Johnny Jump-Ups
Hide amongst the blades,
Painting purple pop ups,
A joy to those who gaze
And pause to notice springtime
Is springing up again;
And as I stopped to thank them
For their appearance in my lawn,
I found my periwinkle there
Far from its usual bed,
For it had stretched its legs
And into the lawn has spread,
Ringing the yard all around
In the green of spring.

Art from the Heart
For it has stretched its legs and into the lawn has spread… the miracle of a rainy year!
Indeed! A rainy year! So both our areas are filled with blooms not always seen!
