April Bright, Red
Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem. I needed something bright– something so bright that it lightened the day, and this photo from April, 2021 is it. And I learned from it. I’d been told this bush– with its bright red blossoms was a quince bush, but true to want to add a bit of knowledge here, I discovered that: no, it’s not a quince, exactly, but it is a Japanese Quince. And I’m glad because this little blossom fills the grey void in winter, and in the midst of the chaos that is America today, its photo does the same in August.
April Bright
In April,
Japanese Quince
so bright
It’s Quince and
Delight.
