August Doodle Dresser

August Doodle
My CLmooc friends doodle every day.
Prompt Week: Bedroom —- Today: Dresser
#makingarteveryday
This was my mom’s dresser — it held secrets and pens and notes and pictures. It was actually dark cherry— very brown. We still have it, though one leg falls off when you move it. Still— it became another grandkid place for some of their pens, colors, paper, scissors, tape, etc.
I remember sneaking into my parent’s room to open that top desk to see what special pen was there today– or find new note pads I could ask for. It was like a magic place– it should have been a drawer, but it was a desk.
I could stand on my tip toes to open it up and let the desk fall into place. I’d pick out a pen and piece of paper and quickly draw a little picture before putting it all away again. I’d tap it and smile. Then I’d open it up again, like I was a princess with a special place for writing.
So silly.
“Sheri-rae, Are you in my desk again?”
