P22 What Is It

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem. On our daily walk we paused at this single step topped with green berries and wondered what on earth it was.

Now we could have remained stuck, but fortunately, we have a Picture This app that tries to identify it with a picture. It seems to be Italian arum [Arum italicum], according to the app–it’s invasive in Washington State. Wikipedia provides info– Arum Italicum. It is poisonous too.

Hopefully, we’ll discover more as it continues to develop. 🙂
