Tea of Inquiry

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem. The wind is wild today, blowing leaves and lids and little kids down the street. It’s a good day for tea, and one of my favorites is the Tea of Inquiry, which I paired with my clear Bodum mug, my grandfather’s “butter plate” which I use for my teabags, and the lovely ceramic spoon from a gift shop on one of our journeys because who could resist a spoon with a dragonfly perched on wheatgrass?

Tea of Inquiry

A bit of rice tossed into green tea
Inspires thoughtful inquiry
Pondering the dragonfly
Atop wheatgrass below the sky
Take a sip, in the moment be
The calm of life at peace in me.
