NovDoodle Olivia is there

November Doodle
My CLmooc friends doodle every day. During November, my doodles will usually be from the writing for National Novel Writing Month: NaNoWriMo.
This year, my story So Says the River continues as the characters search for the dragons that help keep the balance among the many worlds. A new sighting and event had occurred, but what does it mean?
Excerpt: unedited first drafts—
I saw Olivia, down behind an Oregon grape bush. And behind her, blackness. Not a shadow, for her body and her blackness both cast a shadow east as the sun shone through the sky dotted in cumulous clouds.
I watched her wait while I out-waited her. Her black hair just as black as that blackness behind her framed a very pale face with thin lips held tight and straight, just a black line across her face. Even the blackness of her eyes lacked a reflection of the light. But wait, I saw a dash of light from one eye to the next and to the tip of her nose.
Was there hope for Olivia?
