All the while Austin was sweeping, Arthur readied the artifact Rose brought for hanging on the wall. It was a wall clamp for drying lavender— an old one that once hung in the first hut built so many years ago on this spot. It was a square box, blue, whose lid opened away from the wall and then clamped closed over the lavender stems. The lid was covered in a circular topaz to represent the sun— not a spiral, just the circle, a sparkling gem that invites the pixies to bring good tidings.Excerpt From
