Day 515 Perfect Wings
Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem. Today is cool– before another heat wave takes us into the 100s again. But today, a fast walk in 70s temperatures with a lovely cool breeze– a dream come true.
And there on the walk bridge, this lovely sign of nature’s workings– a maple seed.
Depending on your maple, its seeds fall at different times of the year, but when they do, they must fall away from the spreading branches of its canopy so the seedlings can sprout in the sunshine.
The seeds show mother nature’s marvelous way of creating what is needed:
Read more about maple seeds in the Farmers Almanac.
Perfect Wings
Nature’s wings soar high,

shaped to spin upward away
from mother maple’s
canopy, able to sprout
seedling maples in sunshine.
