Day 381 MarchDoodle More Floral Designs

MarchDoodle
My CLmooc friends doodle everyday. Today I chose my design challenge of floral folk art as a prompt, rather than from DoodleADay ElloLovey. See all the entries here: DoodleADayMarch. Also, some of us are also participating in the “#sketchdesignrepeat #3x3designchallenge” sketch design challenge— and that’s the floral part of this design. I’ve embedded the Instagram with most of the different designs. I’m still not happy.

I’m going to go back to searching for styles. I get an image in my mind, but I can’t seem to get it to work. But, as you can see by the number of different designs, I’m committed to giving the style a try.

These were created in Procreate, and I’m going to take another class or two in Affinity Designer, which I like because I can place my designs just so without trouble. In Procreate, when you place an image off to the side, it literally cuts it off, and although you can undo, it’s just frustrating to not be able to just move things around and not worry about making duplicates. Every time you duplicate something, it looses some of its integrity, and that causes issues with pixelation. If I were a better artist, this probably wouldn’t be a problem.

Don’t get me wrong, I thoroughly love Procreate– its made my growth possible. This is just a slice of my life that shows my struggles.

So….. what’s your struggles in your hobby?
