Day 370 Daily Create On the Moon
Daily Create
Today’s Daily Create [ @ds106dc #tdc3353] is to send your secret agent self to the moon to see what you find.
I sent my avatar and we discovered the find of the universe on the moon— The Irish arrived first long ago and among the shamrocks we found with an interesting toast for today.
Here’s the toast, remixed pages from the public domain book, Irish Toasts, by Shane Na Gael [1908] in the Internet Archive.
Here’s the whole toast, which my husband is going to memorize for the time when gatherings and great toasts are needed:
The book includes blank clover-edged pages so I was able to recreate the whole quote on one page.
How awesome that the Irish toasted togetherness and acceptance way back when. The Irish and the Scots have always been ahead of the times:
How the Irish Saved Civilization
How the Scots Invented the Modern World
I enjoyed each of these books since my heritage traces back to both: A Green Day
Life is too short to be selfish and exclusive– we need each other to solve our problems and make the world better, so this toast is one I hope we can all accept. May the world grow together again.
