Oh my gosh. This was such fun to create. I knew I wanted to create something with a warped piano because we bought at an art fair an inked stylized portrait of two colorful people whose hair includes the curve of piano keys. We loved the vibrant colors and stylized people.
In Flickr Commons I found a “no copyright” image of sheet music to include as background, and on Pixabay I found piano keys to warp.
The florals are from art work I have yet to upload to my Spoonflower and Red Bubble shops.
I imported all of them, cut and refined as needed. I warped the piano keys to use as a starting point to draw mine. I arranged the layers with different blend modes for effects.
I fooled around with the lettering, but ended up with keeping the letters dark. It took a while to decide what to write, but I like the message.
music mends moods and memories
Music is soothing; it lifts us when we’re in sad or angry moods and helps us ease our emotions so we can solve any problems or celebrate our joys. Music helps us deal with the loss of loved ones or those we miss due to Covid– the words and the lyrics enrich our world.
Here’s a replay of my process:

I’m not musical so I love that others can share that which I am unable to create. My grandson is a wonder at electronic music. Let this song he composed uplift you:
