Day 317 Perception
Daily Notes
A Daily Challenge to myself: a photograph and poetry. The evening walk through the crisp cold of a blue sky with silhouettes of the apple tree prompted a poem of perception.
Perception
“I saw it,” he cried. “The monster.
It reached upwards towards the towers,
searching for more power. I saw it there. Go. Look.”I stepped carefully. “There?”
He nodded and pointed and ran away to the next person.
I looked. I looked around and all over,
looking up towards the tower
through the limbs
of the often-pruned apple tree,
its arms reaching up, bare,
in the winter light.Sheri Edwards

January Doodle
For my doodle a day with my friends at CLmooc, #jandoodle, with prompts for Spoonflower, I created a block and a pattern for the prompt, “sprinkles.” Wow. This took a very long time and many layers. Sprinkles on donuts, cupcakes, cookies, and hot cocoa. Mmmmm– all things I cannot eat.
Daily Create
The Daily Create #tdc3300 today asked us to consider an alternative to fireworks, safe to all. How about the lights of creative lanterns. I found an image of a dragon lantern, public domain to share my response.
