Day 308 Last Year’s Song
Daily Notes
A Daily Challenge to myself: a photograph and poetry. Today, after drawing my January Doodle of Joy, which included quirky songbirds, I walked my usual path in Cole Park just as the setting sun turned the sky a soft pink. And silhouetted against that blue and pink sky appeared the nest of the songbirds I miss.

January Doodle
For my doodle a day with my friends at CLmooc, #jandoodle, with prompts for Spoonflower, a site I share my art to at times, I created an illustration in a pattern for the prompt, “Joy.” So I wanted something fun and quirky, something lovely, like flowers and songbirds. For a quick draw with funny flowers and birds, I like the cream background best, I think. What about you? Click the picture to view a larger size.
Daily Create
The Daily Create #tdc3290 today asked us to create an alien movie poster. I found a picture of Spokane with its Riverfront Park pavilion lit up in Christmas lights. I traced in a luminescent pen to make the pavilion one of the alien spaceships. Ha. Here it is:
Lately I feel like aliens have infiltrated the people of the United States and caused some Americans to turn against everyone else. It’s depressing, and I’m feeling grief.
Please take care of yourself, and stay safe.
