Day 138 Sunshine

FWFWednesday small

#funwithfaces challenge by Skillshare teacher Charly Clements.

Try the challenge:

Long Bob

Now, I didn’t do very well with the lipstick part because drawing hands and side views are part of my learning still. What I like about this one is the shading and highlights in the face. I used a stipple type brush for the shading and highlighting and then blurred them a bit.

I don’t think these are supposed to be fancy, but some people’s are so awesome, if you take a look: #funwithfaces .

Maybe you would like to do one for tomorrow; the challenge is: braids, ice cream, summer dress.  Upload yours to Instagram and tag it with #funwithfaces and others will see yours too!

See you there!

By the way, the good news is that the secret police are supposedly leaving Portland and Seattle. Since  the administration at the federal level often says one thing while doing another, we hope it is the truth.

The bad news is that now the secret police are snatching people off the streets of New York. Later, it was discovered that the person was wanted for vandalizing police security cameras. But, as said New York City Council member Brad Lander [D] tweeted and said,

“With anxiety about what’s happening in Portland, the NYPD deploying unmarked vans with plainclothes cops to make street arrests of protestors feels more like provocation than public safety.”

Washington Post

That’s what it looked like to me as well– a snatching instead of an arrest, especially for vandalism. Bad choice for public opinion by the police.

And remember Umbrella man, the man who started the riots in Minneapolis?  They have found him– a member of a white supremacist group. Read about here.

With an umbrella in his left hand and a hammer in his right, the man in black lobbed his weapon so nonchalantly into an auto parts shop’s windows that it surprised many others in Minneapolis marching nearby in a May 27 protest after George Floyd’s death.

Soon after the abrupt attack, the mostly calm demonstration near a police precinct erupted into looting and arson.

Washington Post

Once again, we have evidence of who is causing the violence and destruction, and who is instigating it, all the while people continue to protest against police brutality.
