Field of Clover
Field of Clover and Buttercups, Monet Style
Painted with acrylic brushes on iPad with ProCreate.
With an “Artists” inspiration board and a Daily Prompt [I’m behind] for inspiration, I’m studying a bit about different artists from Emily Patriquin in her Skillshare class. [ #drawingdaily2020 ]
As I was painting in the underbrush, I realized I could add shadows below– it took a while to see how the little strokes fit together into a pattern of light and shadow. Observing carefully is the key.
Again, all you novice artists like me, just keep trying. Each stroke is something to ponder and consider how it adds to the visual, and yet there is a randomness about it to make it natural and to develop one’s own style and impression of the real. Never give up!
I am focusing on clovers, in preparation for St Patrick’s Day [ Irish Shamrock] with as many prompts as possible. Here’s my Picasso: Clover and Claret:
Please share your learning and follow my progress on Flickr: DailyDraw2020, although I am behind due to the #clmooc #poetryport
