Day 16 Candy Cane
Candy canes provide that feeling of warm memories and winter cold all in one’s imagination each holiday season.
One Technique
I was late starting with this prompt, so later that day Jennifer Nichols, our teacher, later shared another of her candy cane designs and it was 3D!
So, wanting to improve my work, searched for and found a ProCreate 3D lesson on Skillshare by Jane Snedden Peever called “Creating 3D Art Effects on iPad Pro – Procreate Painting Series 3,” which I’d watched before.
When in doubt and when you want to learn more, search the internet for a howto. So, here are a few more ways to create 3D Effects using ProCreate

I decided to add a little text to my candy cane– it’s not as rounded as I’d like, but I can improve with practice.
And then realized: Whoa! Make that text 3D! And here it is:
