Intersections

Outside the Cafe Wylde and across from the windowed Schack Art Center, stand and notice the intersection down the street: in downtown Everett, the intersections are gorgeous walkways, filled with vibrant flowers that create a back-to-nature feel in the midst of concrete.
Notice again the streetlights, globes of light on a curved green post, like a blooming vine, also building in nature through a creative light sculpture.
Though grey bounds the ground and parking spaces, other buildings are like a blooming rose, red and brown as a bold bouquet above the concrete river.
All cities can create small parks for community walkways and gatherings, building in greenery to offset the expanding pavement that eases our travels over distances.
