SOL Texture
Texture: a wall still holding, needing repair, a bit like our country right now, and perhaps like all communities. There’s always a part that needs fixing, a part that’s till holding, and a part that we notice.
After a delicious meal at one of our favorite restaurants, we walked to our car, parked in front of this wall, this textured concrete, cracked, with peeling pale paint. We paused and noted that our community is old, and it’s showing it. But our restaurant is remodeled, vibrant, and always full. Such is the world. A continuum moving through time, with footprints of the past leading to the visions of tomorrow.
My Slice of Life moves to Wednesday as I begin a Wednesday WordPress Photo Challenge. This week’s challenge: texture.
