Thanks to Classroom 2.0, I’m Connected!
Greetings!
Have you heard about Connected Educator Month? Have you signed up to listen or share? How about joining the group at P2PU?
What is your definition of a connected educator? I’m still working on mine ! But I do know this: If it weren’t for Classroom 2.0, I would not be a connected educator. I thank Steve Hargadon, the 68,000 members there, and Lorna and Peggy and Kim at Classroom 20 LIve for guiding me into a network that supports and encourages new learners to ease their journey to connectedness. I learned not only what tools to use in my classroom, but also how to use them. I learned to connect and participate. My students learned to create and connect with other students. It’s been an amazing journey.
Because of this, Denise Krebs, of my PLN, and I are presenting at Connected Educator Month on August 18th at 1:00 PM EST: Extend the Conversation: Jump In ! Our presentation includes an extended segment about Classroom 20 and Classroom 20 live and their inspiration for me and my students.
We are using Big Blue Button, a platform we’ve never used, which shows just how much we have learned to Jump In! because of our supportive network.
Thanks Steve and CR20 and CR 20 LIVE ! Just thought you would like to know…
