Today, my class is on Negative Painting.  Jennifer Nichols takes us step by step to learn the process. It’s an excellent class that will get you started on a journey of abstract art that is so pleasing to create and view. Here’s a link to Jennifer’s Pinterest Board with examples.

It’s not easy on paper to paint around an object to create the effect, but in Procreate, that becomes much easier with more opportunity for innovation, especially since Jennifer’s instructions, examples, and process is demonstrated in ways that allow success.

My first three examples above show the variety of what’s possible with just a little knowledge and practice. I’m pleasantly surprised and delighted with the results.
