Longing for Dreary
Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem. This week it started: the unbearable heat and wildfire season. It’s a dread every single day. Will there be a fire? Will we be able to stay cool?
So I never complain anymore about the winter, when it is cold and icy. I long for long winters well into spring. And long spring with a short summer, which will never be any more.

Years ago I stopped
complaining of winter
and its cold so drearybecause summers now blast

the scorching and tinder
and its wildfire fury.

You’re doing something really good, Sheri!
Thank you. Sorry I missed your comment. But I keep writing the notes. Every day.
That’s good to hear!
