Follow the Sun

Bridge and unlit light from the 1930s with the last of sunlight on the distant hills
on Flickr

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem. On our walk yesterday in the cooler evening time, we looked above to see the sun fading into sunset as the light of the old bridge waited for its own time, and we held the sunlight in memory for tomorrow.

Follow the Sun

When sunlight shines
one last time on distance hills
just before we light our own
just before the night slips in
We look up to hold hope
That tomorrow the light will come
We look up to follow the sun
