Every day, a photograph, a poem. From the mighty Columbia River the water is pulled and drawn through canals to water the semi-arid lands of the Great Basin of Washington State, sculpted by the Missoula Floods.

Mighty Power

Snow and rain
in the mountains
packs in glaciers
melting and flowing
to a mighty river
man contained and constrained
to flow and nurture
that which has none.
