Seasons Are

Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem. Yesterday’s poem and Daily Create, Wonder, brought a few lovely responses which you can find in the post and comments.
Seasons to me are the wonder of time– it just keeps moving forward, so it’s a way we mere mortals can plan and hope based on what has been and what will be.
In my backyard is the Buddha, always reaffirming change while serenely exuding calm for compassion through wisdom among all the times of disheartening chaos. Peace is the path forward, for we are all connected. Understanding this leads to working together for a better world for all–all creatures, great and small.
And so seasons are evidence of the cycles of life, and that knowing this, we beings who can think thus, keep thinking forward, hopefully with compassion.
And so, the poem as a response to the responses– we acknowledge seasons because of who we are.
Seasons Are
A cycle

of time
To mark the passing
And know the coming
Thinking
of the future
as
cosmic
billion year old carbons do.
