Love The Rain
Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem. It’s been a wet and raining spring and early summer. People are complaining. I cannot. I thank every day it rains to nourish and moisten the soil of our semi-arid steppe landscape which in recent years has succumbed to the drying heat and wildfires of climate change.
I can only love the rain each day and it’s cool and refreshing care of mother earth, which sustains us mere humans. I thank you for each drop that keeps us from drought and wildfire. Thank you, blessed rain.

Yes we want the warmth
of the sun
the light of the worldLove the rain
the cool
the seeping
into the soilLove the rain
spreading nutrients
feeding the roots
holding foliage strongLove the rain
For cooling the heat
of the sun
stopping the fire of the worldLove the rain
