Many participate this month in NaPoWriMo – write a poem a day for the month of April, which I’ve been doing here on this blog. National Poetry Month is sponsored by Poets.org and is the inspiration for all the poetry sharing in April.

Who knows! Perhaps you’ll carry one of your own poems in your pocket! Read more about Poem in your Pocket Day here. It’s sponsored by Poets.org. Here’s a sample of four poems I would carry in my pocket when I was a teacher. My students would choose their own favorite poems and carry extras in their pocket as well, in case a person at school needed one of their own!
