Disconnect

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem. Look: there are people above “Disconnect.” They just climbed down from the climbing up all that ice— all the way to the top and I just saw the end. I’m shivering— from the cold and from the fright of imagining me up there. I have a complete disconnect from wanting to do that which for them is a joy.

Disconnect

Climbing blue ice
For some is nice
But I’m freezing
Just seeing
From afar
In my car
What they say
Is a fun day
My introspect
Is a disconnect.
