Day 656 Tracks

Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem. Many people think that our local park, Cole Park, is not used. All one needs to do is take a walk through the park after a snowfall: look at all the tracks of adults, children, and creatures that walk in winter through the park. Imagine a spring, summer, or autumn day when the weather is perfect: this park is important to the community.

Tracks

In winter we see
The places we trek
In the tracks in the snow
Of creatures not met:
Dark-eyed junco, raccoon, mule deer,
Cats and dogs and children dear,
All have stepped
This spot, this day
Different times
Different ways
Consider this
As season’s pass
We walk together
Though different paths
Through this life
Our ways do cross
Though we leave
Our unique,
Invisible tracks.
