Day 648 All Is Calm

Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem. As usual, I could not fall asleep, and I knew the snowy world would look calm and bright on this foggy December night. I could not resist a photo. Sorry I missed all the lights on the house across the street, now dimmed but for the porch lights. Perhaps I’ll remember tonight….

All is Calm

11:23
Tiny tree lights sparkle,
Porch lights glisten,
Street lights shine,
Shadows stretch
Across mule deer snowprints
On crisp diamonds of snow
Below a cover of fog
Illuminating night’s lights:
All is calm.
