Day 645 On Guard

Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem. Today I wanted to share more holiday lighting from our area and in my photo search I found just the right image: the lovely lights on City Hall with three turkeys standing guard. The door to the building is covered in notices, such as “WEAR MASKS,” and the stairs seen in the image are closed with a chain and sign due to crumbling concrete, which is on the city’s To Do list of repairs. So I adapted the photo a bit to eliminate the ugly and add more holiday. Oops— the city can’t and should not say “Christmas,” but Cheers to you on my version!

Gobbling sounds;
Look—over there
Atop City Hall stairs-
Alert turkeys aware!
