Stone’s Throw

Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem. Yesterday we drove in the cold and rain to watch the clouds roll of the cliffs of the coulee, stopping at the spot Grandpa and Ben once practice skipping rocks.

Photo on Banks Lake, campground near million dollar mile.

Stone’s Throw

A stone’s throw
Across the lake,
Clouds fall
Over the edge,
Waves of the sky,
On currents felt
As cold November wind
On the spot
Ben and Grampa once
Skipped flat, rounded rocks
With a flick of the wrist
To many challenges of
A stone’s throw.
