Nature’s Gentle Days

Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem. Since today’s Daily Create is playful architecture and I chose to share the lovely architecture of our local clinic / hospital, a poem seemed another good way to acknowledge the ten year old, but still new to us, community resource.

Our clinic with wide open windows to pebbled, pine landscaping outside, also brings nature inside in color, flooring, furniture. All reflect the natural landscape of our local area. It’s lovely and calming, a play with nature on its gentler days to warm the weary.

Whenever I wait inside, the openness to the sky and landscaping, and the muted autumn colors inside with patterns everywhere reflective of the calm of nature, I find that calm myself. Architecture and design can add to our experience —- add to and aid our journey through life, its celebration and chaos.

Nature’s Gentle Days

Outside
With colors soothing
Birds singing
Rivers swirling
On nature’s gentle days
We sense calm.

Inside
Same colors soothe
Windows see
Chair so soft
With nature’s essence
We find calm.
