Before Winter

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem. On our walk one day, I looked up to see the roundness like a face hiding behind a bush. It’s funny how our eyes can be fooled by a glance, a look, a color, a sparkle. Our eyes fill in what we miss or can’t see to match what we know so we are not surprised and so we are prepared. As we look, our eyes, through the firing synapses of our brains, predict the whole from the part. For more information on this, see this article from the University of Glasgow.

And today, I am already looking forward to spring—-

Looking Forward, After Winter

Browns and grays
Give sway
To reds and deep greens
In slender branches
With buds
On their way—
Looking forward,
After winter,
To this day

Post 1000 days in a row: Imagine that. One thousand daily posts!

This year I have posted 328 poems for each of 328 days in a row. I have created 328 Daily Creates, one for each day of this year. I have illustrated a prompt, a doodle, for each of the 328 days so far in 2021. I hope to finish each, each day of the 365 days in a year.
