NovDoodle Nexus

November Doodle

My CLmooc friends doodle every day. During November, my doodles will usually be from the writing for National Novel Writing Month: NaNoWriMo.

This year, my story So Says the River continues as the characters search for the dragons that help keep the balance among the many worlds. A new sighting and event had occurred, but what does it mean?

Excerpt: unedited first drafts—

She drew a nexus consisting of all circles, a symbol for “We.” In the center circle, she drew the Ananta clan crest of sun spiral and dragon quest loops- a circle of sun yellow in the middle, blue spiral of sky above, and green earth spiral below. The three other circles surrounded this one. In one circle she drew the sun spiral of the Meng family, which does not include the dragon loops. In another she drew the three teal two-petaled flowers of her Innes family. And in the last circle, she drew the button on her vest— the teal-two-petaled icon for herself. As she finished the design by painting in the universe of shining stars, she sang along with the five pixies on her shoulder:

We are one and we are part
We are one and we are whole
We who care together
Then and now and ever more.
