Stone

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem. When our little town was built the Civil Conservation Corps built Douglas and Cole Parks with amazing rock work— paths and walls, which I enjoy every day, and which inspire many of my descriptions in my stories for National Novel Writing Month: NaNoWriMo.

Stone

Ancient
Granite, father rock
Forged beneath the earth
Harvested and placed just so
Held with mortar, man made
Wall, with only the mortar needing repair.
