Unless You Look

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem. Love Cole Park in the early autumn when the greens shine emerald and the magic dusting of color begins. Could there be a bit of magic here?

Unless You Look

Walk through your life
From one place to the next
And busy thoughts
While here to there
Keep the mind from pause
Keep the hectic of the world
And prevents the calm;

Who knows you’ve missed
The festive gold, red velvet,
Or forest green
or lovely lemon yellow
of painted vision nature brushes
Sparkling in the sun
And in between the fluttering leaves
Flashes shine in dance
Of pixie dust left here and there
Yes—how will you know it isn’t there
If you don’t pause to look?
