I Saw Them

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem. In November my doodles and my poetry will usually focus on my writing for National Novel Writing Month: NaNoWriMo. Today’s poem will refer to a the hidden places, hidden by pixie dust and seen only by those chosen.

In Cole Park, the stone steps and autumn leaves create a magical view that inspires my stories, because, really, aren’t their fairies dancing here?

I Saw Them

I did.
I saw them.
I saw them sparkling
To hide
A dirt path
Along a rock wall
Over a small bridge
Over the creek
At the edge of the meadow
Just north of the village
And all along the boundary of trees
Once hiding it—
There, at the tops,
Fairies danced.
Have you seen them?
