Every day, a photograph, a poem. In 2019 on our journey home from North Dakota, we stopped at a sculpture along the highway, but we noticed this fence and opening with a sign “Private Road.” And private it was, barely there. Perhaps once years ago it led to a homestead, the original owners first home, now but an entry to plant a larger field.
Still, the sign is new. The road, less traveled, is still important and valued, like the road each of us in our own ways travels. It’s just as important to also respect them, each one.
