If Only, Two Worlds

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem. I’m sad for my family who lost their father and husband, my older brother. In their grief, I grieve my own loss of my son, and I wish our memories and messages to them could be heard in that other world. If only..

Two Worlds

If only
Rippled reflections
Of an autumn day
With yellow cottonwood leaves
In the blue sky
Bobbing with gentle waves
Opened the other world
Where messages to memories
Of lost loved ones
Flow lovingly into their peace
And we in our sorrow
Hear in return
Their soft songs
Of new life
Soothing ours with their joy.
