Not So Long Ago

Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem. Once upon a time, before COVID deniers and anti-vaxxers put us all in danger with their selfish refusal to consider the public good, we would hop in the car and travel the small highways and back ways to enjoy the scenery and small towns, sometimes on our way to a unique destination and sometimes just wherever the sunshine took us. But now we stay close to home. I miss those road trips, although our local area is geologically unique with fascinating and lovely flora and fauna, enough to keep us learning and growing and enjoying the beauty around us.
Not So Long Ago
Not so long ago
We’d hop in the car and go;
Road trips to anywhere
Just together in weather fair
Or looking for sunshine’s flair
Before the fools lost in their fog
Put an end to our travelogue.
