Day 551 Mountain

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem. Today a CLmooc prompt was “mountain,” so I decided to also use that idea for a poem for today. The photo is from Sun Mountain, WA on July 21, 2017 at early sunset. The occasion was a newspaper conference, I believe, and we enjoyed the glacial valley views and pleasant mountain rooms with a well-recognized dining area.Unfortunately, due to the horrid wildfire still burning, the lodge suffered extensive smoke damage and is close for the rest of the year. This is one of our favorite places.

Mountains

Many with trees, no snow; 

shrinking sunset serenades 

evening; waves splash shores
