Day 521 Always On Alert

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem. Today, the old one arrived again this morning, hours after Scott had already fed him. We’ll refill his water. We call him Janier [one ear].

It’s only 88°F so far– will get up to 100°. Air quality is down to 154.

We’re hoping we can go for a little walk outside today. We’ll look for the lowest nearby air quality and take a drive there. Currently, it’s only 65 in Waterville, a quiet little town about 90 minutes away.

Always On Alert

The old one-eared stray 

we feed stops by twice a day, 

always on alert.
