Day 500 Daily Create Parents

Daily Create

Today’s Daily Create [ @ds106dc #tdc3482 ] Parents Day

My Parents: Born at the end of WW1, surviving the 1918 flu pandemic and WW11, they raised a family in a rented house in small city with dad working as auto-parts buyer in a local business and mom taking in ironing and babysitting to help feed the family. Family, cousins, card parties, fishing, and bowling filled their lives with love and fun, and teaching us kids the value of caring, loving, laughing, enjoying, working hard, and accepting everyone.

Their lives are part of what built America. Because they also accepted others, they truly helped build the America of today: diverse.

So thankful.
