July Doodle

My CLmooc friends doodle every day. July’s prompts are from Rachelle at TinkerLab — #tinkerlab. 

Today the prompt is roll, so enjoy a bit of this cinnamon/caramel roll. My mom was known in all sides of our family for her cinnamon rolls– delicious and sticky! I’ve just searched my cookbooks– notebooks, handmade recipe books, and my mom’s recipe box for her recipe. It must have slipped out of one of notebooks of “Favorites.” That old Scotch tape did not remain sticky, and all the cards written by my mom that I had taped in to have when ready are loose throughout each page. I’m pretty sad about that.

But– to save the day is my 1970 Better Homes and Garden NEW Cookbook, recipes I know I used. Here are several related to breads and cinnamon rolls, including an adaptation that my mom would have made [always butter; add cream].
